Material Things Don’t Give You Happiness

At least not forever. But why is it so hard to let these things go? A pair of earrings I know I wont be wearing anytime soon because I don’t have anything to match it, but I bought it because it was on sale and pretty at the time. Those cute asian lead pencils with cute dangly pieces that sit in a cup in my room on display because I don’t want to use it, fearing I will damage it and rub off the cuteness. (Plus I use pen in class anyways). Cups in all shapes and sizes that I don’t really use because how many cups does one person actually need for drinking purposes?

I would like to let some of the stuff go, perhaps give it away because there’s just too much stuff and they’re all new stuff too. They’re just stuff right? But why am I having such a hard time giving them away? Are these the symptoms of a hoarder?
